do you know that music is an essential key to the awakening of our love for God? because music has the power to usher us past and present reality and into the very presence of God.
do you know? that music brings heaviness and despair, encouraging hopelessness, death and even suicide. some others incite anger, hatred and rebellion and music has the power to arouse and awaken romantic feelings too. ooh whie!! awwww!
But then... IF you want to walk in purity, i and we MUST guard against the influences of this type of music. The best method of ridding yourself from listening to it is to displace them or listen to another.
do u want to listen to songs of the earth causing you to feel heaviness in your heart, feeling despair, do u wanna hear songs which makes u think that u want to die or even committing suicide? OR do u wana listen to songs that will draw you closer to Jesus?
your choice! but i would choose to listen to songs that will bring me closer to God. (:

And so my application, listen to more praise and worship lyrics and not those songs which stated above.. =)
