okay, yesterday was my first day of work at SIA-MINDS! (: it was okay, i was early for work yesterday so i helped in taking of temperature for the trainees and also the staff! everyone was pretty friendlyyy to me. (: so far im okayyy!
my table that i use is just those normal table with a cloth and given a lappy to use to entertain myself, i can listen to music or whatever as long as i do work im given, they're fineee with me using the internet and i log on to e-buddy too! :D yhahaha!! the staff are reallyy friendly, some of them would like look at me n say "ure new right?" or u're Grace right? our new staff" then i wouldi be like yes,im Grace and im newww. hahaha!! and some of the trainees also very funny, they would walk pass me (okay,is not like they like me) but my table is in-between the main office and lift lobby, i sit outside the office! so the trainee goes "hi,good morning teacher" since when i became a teacher and i realise some of the guy trainee likes to walk in front of me n look at me and says "good morning teacher, have you eaten lunch? how are you?" so friendly righttt but of cos i make sure im not taken advantage of and i was also told got some dirty old men as volunteers and also realise im one of the youngest staff around. lol! =]
Few things i observed and learnt from the other training officers and the inteclectually disabled adults is that, the trainees are very friendly which makes them funny, though smtimes i do not know what they're say. =P yup..they are very simple minded, they live in the present and dont really seem to have a past. hmmm? they might be adults like physically but sometimes i can see the child-like kind in them, the way they talk and respond physically. The training officers are also pretty friendly to me too. haha and i can see that they are really patient n compassionate, thats what they need in order to work with them as all of them are different.
I think so far im pretty alrite. =]
